Medi-Inn (UK) Ltd, the North East-based supplier of medical and hygiene consumables, has reported a surge in demand from businesses for lateral flow tests after the Government withdrew free workplace lateral flow tests for employers.
More than £6 billion of public money has been spent by the Government on mass testing using lateral flow tests. The Government has now withdrawn free workplace lateral flow and businesses are now required to fund the cost of test kits themselves.
Demand for LFTs is therefore very high and Medi-Inn UK are proud to supply Britain’s businesses with FlowFlex Rapid Lateral Flow Test Kits which use an advanced formula in detecting the protein found in the COVID-19 Virus. The kits have also been certified to detect the Omicron COVID Variant.
Wayne Dobson, Managing Director at Medi-Inn UK said “ FlowFlex Rapid Test Kits are currently used by the UK Government and the NHS. It was important to Medi-Inn that we stocked a product that people were familiar with and had confidence in.
Since the introduction of LFTs Britain’s firms have prevented thousands of sick days and kept factories from downtime.
By supplying Flowflex lateral flow tests Medi-Inn is providing a solution to businesses wishing to continue with workplace testing. It’s reassuring to see so many businesses continue to test as a method of reducing the impact of coronavirus on the workforce.”
In addition to FlowFlex lateral flow tests, Medi-Inn supplies a wide range of consumables and has seen a significant increase in demand for PPE throughout. It supplies items such as face masks and visors, latex, vinyl, nitrile disposable gloves and protective clothing.
Wayne continued “The fact we have been able to manage the high levels of demand for tests and PPE throughout the pandemic is due to well established, strong and robust supply chains with reliable suppliers.”
