Corporate Governance & Compliance

Medi-Inn UK is committed to working with our customers and suppliers to achieve results that grow our company, reward our stakeholders and contribute to our communities. We acknowledge our responsibilities to the communities in which we operate.

We maintain the highest standards of corporate governance and ethics and report our governance performance annually. We conduct our business in an open, honest and ethical manner as described in our Code of Conduct and our integrity framework. We integrate corporate responsibility in our business planning and decision making and measure, monitor and report our corporate responsibility performance on a regular basis.

Since 2017, Medi-Inn (UK) Ltd has had the capability to trade with other organisations through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). There are many benefits using EDI across our whole Supply Chain. This process is extremely efficient for all parties. We can lower operating and improve business cycle speeds as well as reducing human error and improve record accuracy and security.

Though the introduction of EDI we are now compliant with the PEPPOL Messaging Standards.

PEPPOL (Pan-European Public Procurement OnLine) is a network for the exchange of electronic business documents such as orders, invoices and shipping notices.

As well as opening up the marketplace to other new potential EDI business partners such as Retail and Public Sector organisations, we are now to meet full compliance as an integral part of the Department of Health’s eProcurement strategy. The Department of Health have publicly committed to the adoption of PEPPOL across the NHS with the aim of increasing efficiencies and reducing costs through the electronic transfer of business documents.

To achieve PEPPOL compliance, Medi-Inn (UK) Ltd selected NetEDI ( as their certified Access Point provider. NetEDI is a cloud-based EDI/PEPPOL provider offering comprehensive services and solutions to NHS Trusts and private sector companies that enable electronic transactions to be fully integrated into any ERP system.

As a supplier to such a large potential market, Medi-Inn (UK) Ltd can communicate with any trading partner connected to the PEPPOL network regardless of the access point used.

Medi-Inn (UK) Ltd is committed to reducing its impact on the environment by managing its waste in an efficient and sustainable manner. Our waste is not produced as a result of manufacturing, but the majority relates to product packaging and disposal of wastepaper. We work with all Suppliers and Customers to ensure that all waste is disposed of correctly without using methods which may cause harm to the environment. It is our policy to reuse and recycle where possible, and we do recycle almost 100% of all our waste.

Throughout our Supply Chain, we insist that all of our outer carton packaging, whether purchased at our manufacturing units or sued throughout our distribution hubs throughout Europe, is made of 100% recycled material.

As a medical products supplier, Medi-Inn (UK) Ltd needs to find the right balance between reducing cardboard quantities and making sure our products are well protected. The inner product packaging which we use is subject to many regulations for medical and sterile products therefore cannot be easily changed to comply with environmental standards. We do however, maintain a constant review of product packaging in general, to achieve as small a range of sizes as possible and to ensure optimal compromise between product protection and volume of content.

Should our day-to-day business be disrupted by any eventuality outside of our control such as COVID-19 or any other Force Majeure or indeed man-made event, Medi-Inn has a comprehensive business continuity strategy in place to enable the continuity of our business operations.

We continue to monitor COVID-19 and we have responded as a company with compassion for those who may be affected as well as an abundance of caution to limit the spread of the virus. We are also taking measures to ensure business continuity remains unimpacted during this time. With everybody’s health in mind, we implemented work-from-home strategies for our employees.

We recognize many of our customers, including the NHS, depend on us for their own operations, and we take our commitment to providing a high level of service very seriously.

Remote work practices are part of normal business operations for many of our employees, and employees are proceeding with business as usual to maintain all key customer service and support functions.

At this time, none of our customer service or customer deliveries are affected, and we do not anticipate any impact to our operation due to supplier disruption. Should this change, we will update you immediately to uphold our commitment to trust and transparency.
